We live in a broken world.

That simple truth is one I keep bumping up against—especially in this season of life, as my daughter walks through a cancer diagnosis and we all feel the ripple effects of fear, pain, and uncertainty.

Bad news can hit out of nowhere.
Hard things happen to faithful people.
And sometimes, it feels like the rug gets pulled out from under you.

But here’s what I keep coming back to:

That’s where faith and trust come in.

When I don’t understand…
When my prayers feel too familiar…
When fear tries to take the lead…

I remember that if God allowed it, He has a plan for it.

That doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.
That doesn’t mean we won’t grieve, or ache, or wrestle with the “why.”

But it does mean we can rest in the truth that He’s not absent.
He’s not surprised.
And He’s not finished.

Trust Him with the Outcome There will be a day… 🤍

Holding On to the Promise

In moments when I feel overwhelmed, I whisper this to myself:

“Lord, I don’t get it. But I trust You with the outcome.”

Not because it’s easy.
Not because I’m strong.
But because He is faithful, even when life is not.

This is the promise I’m holding onto right now.
And if you’re walking through something heavy too, I want to remind you:

You don’t have to understand the whole picture to trust the One who sees it all.

You’re Not Alone

Maybe today, your heart is carrying something that feels too heavy.
Maybe you’ve been blindsided by something that doesn’t feel fair.

Please hear this: Jesus is with you.
He will carry what you can’t.
And He’s already working in ways you can’t yet see.

There will be a day when all of this brokenness will be made new.

But until that day, trust Him with the outcome.

And if you need a reminder today, I encourage you to cue up Jeremy Camp’s song “There Will Be a Day.” Let the words wash over you. Let them point you back to the One who holds every tear, every fear, and every burden.

Take what you need. Leave the rest. Be blessed. 🤍
