The other day, I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, when suddenly all my past mistakes came flooding in—just like the enemy loves to do.
At 67, I’ve certainly racked up my share of regrets. Moments I wish I could take back. Words I wish I hadn’t spoken. Decisions I wish I’d made differently.
And for a moment, the weight of it all felt heavy.
But then, in the stillness, God whispered to my heart:
“You are redeemed.”
🌿 What Does It Mean to Be Redeemed?
That word—redeemed—is one I used to gloss over. But it carries such powerful, life-giving truth.
To be redeemed means:

To be bought back

To be rescued from bondage

To be forgiven and made whole again
In everyday terms, the world sees redemption as making up for a mistake or earning back favor.
But in God’s Kingdom, redemption is a gift. It’s not something we work for—it’s something Jesus already paid for.
✨ Grace, Not Perfection
Being redeemed doesn’t erase the consequences of my past—but it changes my future.
It means that the One who formed me, the One who holds my eternity, has called me worthy.
Not because I deserve it, but because Jesus gave His life for me.
He doesn’t just cover up our mess—
He transforms it.
He makes beauty from ashes, and purpose from pain.
